The 33 London Boroughs are eligible for full membership of the LTOA. The annual membership subscription is £895. Just return the subscription slip showing your intention to pay.

The London Borough of Camden will then invoice you because they hold the LTOA accounts.

• Invitation to attend quarterly meetings and seminars where there will be an opportunity to hear the likes of new initiatives, research programmes and legislative changes. These meetings are also valuable in providing a time to network and liase with colleagues, borough officers and extend personal working knowledge.
• Invitation to join working parties to advance particular tree management issues in a consistent way both locally and London wide. To provide an example, the LTOA Best Value Working Party aims to progress performance and plans to achieve Best Value through the delivery of performance indicators, Best Value criteria and benchmarking measures. Or LTOA Risk Limitation Strategy for tree root claims is being reviewed and updated by an LTOA working party. The working group will be fully supported by the Executive Officer who will contribute to outputs and deliverables.

• Mail outs, contact lists, reports and other relevant LTOA documentation via the Executive Officer during normal office hours. Access to a members only area of the LTOA website where there will be a discussion forum.
• Access to the Executive Officer during normal office hours to deal with arising issues and general enquiries on everyday matters.
• Access to and full participation in shaping and developing new initiatives from ODPM, GLA etc - for the betterment and increased profiling of tree care including web site production, leaflets and LTOA publications.
• Full voting rights at LTOA meetings and over issues of relevance to London tree management and strategic planning issues.
• Each member will have a right to receive key data regarding London's tree resource and management from the Executive Officer who will regularly gather, collate and report findings centrally.

Through membership to the regional LTOA each individual member will be contributing to a representative forum having a collective and strong voice, able to lobby for relevant industry issues, and which will provide additional resources, ways to achieve Best Practice, resolve issues and find solutions to tree related problems.

Through a single voice the LTOA strongly positions itself to liase on behalf of its members with local authority chief officers, department heads and members, as well as external bodies such as central government, commercial organisations, research institutes and the GLA. This results in the ability to influence tree related issues at a higher, more strategic and consistent level across the board.
