In association with Forestry Commission England (FCE), the Institute of Chartered Foresters (ICF) will run a series of workshops in January and February to introduce the FCE UK Forestry Standard (UKFS) and revised Woodland Management Plans.
The UKFS and Woodland Management Plan Workshops, which will take place at venues across England, offer participants practical advice, hands-on demonstrations and insights from key industry figures in relation to the revised FCE templates.
The Woodland Management Plan aims to support more woodlands into management, to ensure compliance with UKFS, and to link in with England’s next Rural Development Programme. These workshops incorporate practical advice on using the revised woodland management plan templates, while also offering a better understanding of the FCE’s approval process. The workshops are expected to be particularly useful for forestry practitioners, agents and woodland owners.
Tickets are now on sale for all workshops and are priced at £30, inclusive of lunch and refreshments. Advanced booking is essential and can be carried out on the ICF website at www.charteredforesters.org/fceplans. Due to limited availability of tickets at selected locations, those interested in attending are encouraged to book early.
